Steve -- there's no way to control your receiver with the MX-500. The only remotes that can operate VisionTouch receivers are:

1) The RTI TheaterTouch T2
2) The Pronto/RC5000 after you build a special demodulator cable, which basically converts IR to Sony's wired command system.

I would like to see the speed of macro execution increased, both for Favorite Channel macros and for non-Favorite Channel macros.

Steve - Concerning the DA90ESG, Daniel's response is correct. Keep in mind, though, that you could learn the commands from a Pronto to your MX500 and use the special cable. This is something I'm looking in to. I'll post in a new thread if I'm successful.

I am a new user of the MX500. I have a 3 year old RCA sat. receiver. I cannot find a code that works. I have tried 001 to 154. Any ideas?

You did ensure that you selected the SAT type of device? (Remember that if you rename devices you have to look to the manual for the proper button to push -- labels don't count.)

I did not rename any devices. I am too new at it.
