My 6-year old Vizio 70" died, so I've just purchased a new Vizio 70" V705-H13. What a disappointment to find that the discrete on/off codes for the old TV don't do anything with the new set. I've searched but not been able to find discrete codes for this TV, can anyone help?

Thanks, Bill

See if these work - put them on non-used LCD buttons to test - don't overwrite what you currently have to start:

None of the codes worked but thanks for the effort!

FWIW, I think the Vizio V-Series TVs must be fairly new to their line. Unfortunately this means that I won't be able to import all the new codes with my old MX-850.

On that topic, my 850 has been superb for many, many years now but it is getting a bit "long in the tooth" as well as having some keys that are working intermittently. So you know what might be the best replacement for the 850 nowadays?

Thanks, Bill

I saw your other 2 posts before this one. See your other posts for how to fix the 850.

The codes I posted were for the D and E series which the V series replaced. I was hoping the codes stayed the same. Are you sure you added the HEX codes correctly and saved the button before testing?

Within the software open the Universal Browser (next to last icon).
Click the HEX button in the Universal Browser.
Paste the code into the window that opens.
Click and hold the "Drag" icon while moving it to an unused LCD button.
Click another LCD button, then click back on the button you dropped the code on.
In the Edit and Label Button window, change the button name and click Save.
Then pointing the remote toward the TV click the "Test" button (looks like wifi symbol).
Does it work now?

Here's something else to try:
On page 2 of main (page 3 if 2 has something you use), add a device. Name it TVDIS (TV Discretes). In the database for that button go to the TV group and select "Discretes from 2009". Save the button. Then test power on, off and an HDMI1.

On that same page add a new button called TV-V3. In the code database select "[Vizio 3]". Save the button and test on, off and HDMI.

If one of these works, delete the non-working one. You can then use these codes in your macros. Then in the pages view of Main, you can Hide this page so it won't show up on the remote.
