Hi, I could certainly use some help from you gurus. Why am I not able to connect my MX-980 to Windows 10 64-bit version? I was using all this time on Windows 7 and I had no issues. I upgraded my software to Win 10 and the darn remote does not connect or recognize it. How do I make this work? Appreciate your help.

Window Mobile Device Center is already part of Win 10 and nothing shows up there for connectivity when you plug in the remote.

Thx - Jim

Ah...never mind...found my issue and fix soon after my post....it was the darn cable...used a Garmin GPS cable lying around and that didn't work and when I switched cables it worked. Didn't know that cables made a difference even if they are of the same fit. Duh! :-) I switch cables all the time and I never had an issue before. Interesting. I wonder what's so special about Garmin USB cable. Hope this helps someone else having similar issues. Cheers.

There does seem to be something weird with GPS USB cables. My GPS can only be charged with the supplied charger. If i try my other Mini-USB Chargers it will not take a charge, even though they charge my other devices just fine (MP3 players, cell phone, bluetooth headset, etc.). Same issue with their supplied Mini-USB data cable; my various other cables dont communicate with the GPS. I've also seen this mentioned in random GPS reviews some years ago when i was first shopping for mine.
