I have CCP and an MX-980. I cannot get CCP to recognize the MX-980 when attached to USB. Any suggestions?

me too I have tried with windows 7, as well as windows 8.1, both 64 bit. Neither seems to be able to use "windows mobile device center" to see the 980. Several programmers say it should work with win 7 but is tough to get working with windows 8 but I am getting nowhere
