I just bought a HTPC running Windows Media Center to be used as a OTA DVR so I can cut the cable. I searched the file area for a file to use my MX-850 to control it and most are dated 2008 or earlier. Just wondering if anyone has something newer. I am currently using the Ortek VRC-1100 mce remote and can learn all of the commands if need be but just looking at what some of you have did.
Thanks for any help.

The FLIRC is a nice solution, that will translate a learned IR code in to the keyboard operation of your choice.

You can use one of the Microsoft Media Center devices in the MX-850 IR-Database and customize from there. I use the MCE Vista device to control an openelec HTPC and it works very well.
