Hi all,

I'm a URC programming neophtye and I'm having difficulty understanding something rather simple. My Harmon Kardon receiver has 4 HDMI ports, labelled 1 to 4. 3 of the 4 ports were occupied and functional on my remote. I now want to add a device to the 4th port.

What I cannot figure out is what coding associates a device with the 4th port. if I look at the macros for the 3 functional ports, they all look rather similar, but none of them seem to associate with an HDMI port number. For example:

Above is the macro for one of my functional devices. I don't see any mention of a port on my receiver, yet when I press the button, the receiver knows which port to connect to. Where is it getting this knowledge from?

Below is the macro for the device that is not functioning.

The only real difference is the receiver alias, but I don't know how to associate that alias with a port on the receiver.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Have no idea how to assign inputs on your receiver. You have to check the menu or look in the manual. Or just press buttons on the remote to see what button works with hdmi4

Thank you so much for the response. You were absolutely right --- the Aux input had to be directed to HDMI4 on the receiver. Everything is working now and you saved me a $120 service call. Thanks again!
