You really have to take a step back and learn how to program basic macros and building a complete remote before working on learning variables. You have the power off macro ONLY under your Bell HD cable activity. You will be best served if you complete the programming on the remote minus the variables and then add the variables in. I will say that despite me outlining EXACTLY what you have to do in regards to setting the variable state in your power off macro, you still have not done that. It will not work unless you do this, PERIOD!!!

If that is the case, why are we still here?

You did NOT follow the steps I told you. It is outlined in my previous posts exactly what you are supposed to do. You keep coming back saying you can't figure it out when all you have to do is follow the steps.

Thanks for your time to help me goldenzrule

Sorry for everything but i finally understand and follow the steps

what was confused to me, before/after and true/false

but i got it and it seems to work

I Have an mx-890 and it seems different.

I can add more than one variable but is there something i have to know before to use variables.

The 890 uses if/else statements and you can in fact use more than one in a macro. The principle is the same though. I'd suggest playing with it with a basic variable to try and learn it. Once you understand the true/false variable, you should not have a problem learning the if/else statements.
