I own two MX-600's and I want to have two separate home theaters in my home. Unfortunately, both home theaters have some of the same equipment (identical cable boxes). Both home theaters will be used at the same time.

My concern is that both remotes will be changing channels on both cable boxes simultaneously. I will need to use the IR blaster base with both setups.

Is there a way to change the RF frequency of the remote so that I can make each remote unique when sending RF signals to its respective base?

I just really love this remote and never had any issues with it. I don't want a Harmony or different brand. If I can't make my current plan work then I will need some guidance. If there is another URC model out there that is "as good" or "better" that will not conflict with my MX-600 and has an IR blaster base I would appreciate a recommendation.

Thanks,
Derek

Sorry, but there will be no way to prevent the mx-600 from communicating with both mrf-100's.

Cheapest urc RF remotes to work with an addressable base station like the mrf260 or rf350, are the mx-350 or mx-450 remotes.

Will the MX-350 work with an MRF-300 and have RF address-ability? I have an opportunity to buy this set from someone.

Yes it will. The difference between the mrf300 and mrf350, is the narrow band rf of the mrf350, which the mx-350 doesn't have.

Remember you have unplug the mrf100's, in both locations. get rid of them, if you don't won't crosstalk between locations.

Even though my mx-350 and mrf-300 will be assigned to each other the mx-350 will still communicate with the mrf-100?

Sure it will, all models of 418mhz urc rf remotes will directly communicate with mrf100. The only ones that won't are the i series of 433mhz remotes.

here's a mrf300 cheap:

[Link: ebay.com]

I had made an offer myself on that one.

You still have to abandon both mx-600's. :(

I saw that item on Ebay, but it does not come with the RFX-150. Don't you need the RFX-150 to receive the remote signals?
