I have mx450 and mrf260 installed in my media room to control the projector, dvd, and onkyo controller and the motorola stb. It was working perfectly fine for the last 2 years. Last week the mx-450 battery went low. On installing the battery in the remote , the remote powers up but does not control any of the devices.

I tried doing the basic setup on the remote but that is not working either. I think the pronlem is with the rf base station. Its power light is in continuous red color. The other status light blinks when i power up the rf base but after that on pressing any buttons on the remote the status light on the base never blinks. I turned the small wheel on the back of the base to 0 but still no luck. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hi - I am not sure about this. How do I check? It is a possibility. All these problems started when the remote battery ran out and I had to change the battery.

OK I just checked on the remote by going to advanced settings and then to
RF Setup, The Set IR or RF setting has "ON" for both IR Signal and RF Signal.

Do you have the archiver software?  I would save your file with the archiver, then set the remote to factory defaults, then reload the file.

the software is available on urc's website if you dont have it.

here is a link to it: [Link: universalremote.com]

I am looking for assistance for an older remote--MX 350--is there a forum for this available? Thank You, KD
