Has Anyone had the RF20 learn an electric fireplace remote?

I have what is labeled a Twin Start model 23EF022GRA electric fireplace.

When I have the RF20 learn the IR power toggle code I always get a "good" response but no joy when I try to turn it on.

I have tried most of the tips. New batteries, single click, hold the power button down (I get multiple GOOD responses) ,different angels, and distances.

Has anyone been successful or have any ideas?
