Try using codesets from the same manufacturer if you model number is not listed in the IR Database. In most cases, another model number uses the same codes, or at least most of the same codes. Also, look at the top of the list of model numbers for an entry labeled something to the affect of "Samsung Discrete Codes 2011" (as an example). Some manufacturers have the discrete codes listed in this manner. You can then drag codes that are missing such as volume and menu control codes from the IR Navigator. Lastly, you can also check the last codeset in any manufacturers list as well as they are the most up to date released.

If you have a Panny TV, here is a tip. The Discretes are listed under [Panasonic 13]

Hope this info helps as I see more and more posts here from people that are new to URC that ask these questions a lot.

More info for the newbies to URC. If you purchase a pro remote (any of the PC programmable remotes), it will NOT come with the software in the box. It will also NOT be available from URC. If you purchased from an authorized dealer (note, purchasing on Amazon or eBay will result in a non-authorized purchase) you may ask them if they can provide the software. This does NOT mean they have to provide it. It is at their discretion if they wish to provide it. URC will also NOT provide support to an end user. So PLEASE do you homework before purchasing. If you have any questions on whether a remote you wish to purchase will require software, feel free to post and ask here, but please do not ask for the software. No one here will legally provide it. You may post where you are from however and try to find a local dealer on the site that can help you.
