We've had an URC MX-900 since 2008 (and another once since 2009). Anyway, the volume up/down buttons on the older remote had become erratically unresponsive over the past few weeks. Frankly I was ready to purchase another remote and even thought of looking at other brands.
Before doing so however, last week my wife called URC on the off-chance that they would repair the buttons even though the remote was out of warranty. To our pleasant surprise, not only did they repair the buttons but did so free of charge...all within a week!
This level of outstanding service (as well as help with updating the programming software in 2009) has earned them a lifelong customer.
Thanks to the folks at URC for proactively asking that we send the remote in for a free repair!

PS, I'm simply a a/v enthusiast and not an installer.
