At the CEDIA show in Atlanta Just Add Power launched the HDMI over IP solution. You can see a demonstration of the HDMI over IP Right Sized Matrix solution on the homepage of www.justaddpower.com . Since then we have had several URC proponents ask us if we have a URC driver. We are certainly interested in supporting the URC community, but we are looking for a good starting point. Having found it practically impossible to get into www.urccontrolroom.com , I'm hoping to have better luck with this audience.
IF you are a URC Dealer/Installer who understands RS232 control, and you would be interested in collaborating with Just Add Power to write a driver for URC, please contact me via PM, or send a direct email to support @ justaddpower dot com.
While we already have drivers for Control4, AMX, Crestron in place (and RTI soon to follow), we don't want to neglect the URC audience.
Thank you in advance for helping us bring HDMI over IP to the URC population.

Ed,
I don't believe that URC has released the documentation necessary to write 2 way drivers to the Dealer/Installer community. It seems like most if not all of the current 2 way drivers are written by URC.
My suggestion would be to contact URC and ask for info on becoming a "Complete Control Partner".
You might try contacting remotecentral member Darnitol, he is a URC employee who posts quite often on these forums. He might be able to get you in touch with the appropriate folks at URC. I don't want to post his email on the public forum, but if you look up his remotecentral member name you will find his email in his profile.

Ed:
Definitely contact Mitchell Klien at URC about becoming a Complete Control Partner. Our SDK is only available to partners. Once you're on board, we have lots of resources to help you and your engineers.
Best regards, Dale

Dale, My guess is that a CI firm cannot become a Complete Control Partner...
Is there any way a custom installer can get the info necessary to write 2 way drivers? I would settle for an SDK with little to no URC engineering support.
If I had an SDK, I promise I wouldn't bitch about no URC support for it :-)

Hey everybody,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. FYI, we don't really need 2-way control, just a way to send farily short RS232 commands to the HDMI over IP network.
