Hello,
I have a URC R50 and Im trying to make it learn the volume +/- and mute commands from my TVs remote. I would particularly like the TV volume commands to reside on the R50s volume commands. Currently I can only get the volume commands to work on the R50 if they reside on the LCD buttons, within the TV device. The TV is a Hyundai E425D and its remote codes are not in the R50s database. There were no problems getting the R50 to learn the on/off commands or to go through and select the sources on the TV, yet volume and mute just dont work when using the R50s volume and mute buttons.
The strange thing, at least to me, is that it appears to learn the commands properly. When the R50 says Ready (to learn) after I hit the vol+ button on it and then hit (or hit and hold) the vol+ on the TVs remote, the R50 says Good-Saving as if it was able to ready the code and save it. Using the vol+ button on the R50 while in the TV device menu results in nothing happening on the TV. The same happens for the vol- and mute buttons.
I dont have any other universal remote to act as a code buffer as others have done for similar issues and I know the TV make/model I have is problematic when it comes to codes, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This model does have audio punch thru or "copy and paste" that may have disabled the IR output for the TV volume/mute. Go thru the setup and check, otherwise you can call 1-914-835-4484 and ask for Consumer Goods technical support.
