I know I am not alone outthere but I have not been able to find a solution that worked so far.

I got Uverse installed yesterday, and used "LEARN" for all the buttons on the MX-500 to operate the Motorola box. However, none of the buttons worked on MX-500 for the Motorola box. Remote happily learned (said "GOOD" for each button) all codes the ATT remote fed it but box did not react at all.

I did a bit of research, and found a post here that says that ATT remote sends some junk along with the code so "you have to wait 2 sec before learning the command on MX-500". I tried that and - miracle - the "Recorded TV" button got learned and worked off MX-500. However I could not get any other buttons programmed this way.

There were other posts that outlined the codes that the box expects but I dont believe there is any way to enter hexadecimal codes into MX-500 since it does not have a PC connection.

So - has anyone reliably resolved this and programmed MX-500 for Uverse's Motorola box?

Alternatively, what other remotes do you use with the box that work well?

THANKS!

MT

I have a MX-500 and had Uverse installed month ago. I programed in everything by following the manual's instructions and all is well. I suggt you try again with a different Uverse remote. If this does not work than there maybe someting wrong with the learning feature of the MX-500.
