I posted this on the custom installer site too. My computer shows the remote is not attached but it is. I switched to a different cable, shut down and restarted the computer and reloaded the software to no avail. When I plug in the USB into the computer the remote lights up. Any idea how I can remedy this?

I had to keep unplugging and plugging my 810 back in...it seems like the remote goes into a sleep state even when connected.

I posted this in response to your other post:

Pull your battery out to power cycle the remote. Reinsert it and then erase your settings (hold ACTIVITIES and ENT to bring up the system setup and scroll to Erase and Reset). Once reset, then you should be able to download your config.
