MX-650 macros question

am i wrong to think that macro allows me to create a button that does mutliple functions ie. turn on 2 devices ?

also with the 650 when i create settings without the RF module are they lost when i add the module later ?

You are not wrong. A macro is basically a series of button presses. Imagine it like you are recording a series of things that you often and then replaying them.

I haven't had my hands on a MX-650 in a while but I believe the RF settings are independent of the device programming so you can change your RF settings later.
