Long time no visit.
Got an interesting problem.
I have a universal remote from time warner model UR5U-8400.
It supposed to support various audio devices so I thought to save my gf the aggravation and program the pos remote to control the volume on the re yamaha rx-v3000 receiver.
I have tried all the codes that are listed on the Time Warner remote giude and none of them made the receiver respond.
Does any one know of the code that would work?

If none of the codes in the booklet works, call URC and get an RA # and get your remote control firmware updated with that receiver. It's a free service
FYI - you may be without that remote for 2 - 3 weeks, if you opt for that option

Let me find out how that works.
I might try going to Time warner office first to see if they will change it up for a newer mode,l I have seen new sexy ones.
