I recently had to get a new Direct TV H20 due to a defect in my old H20. All my programming still works with my MX-350 remote in IR but I cannot get the H20 to work with my MX-350 in RF. The Direct TV remote works in RF but not my MX-350.

What am I missing?

Do to a upgrade in the H20's they no longer accept both IR & RF signals, its one or the other. as it was suppose to be, accepting both was a flaw according to Directv.

Do you know what I need to do to get my MX-350 to work in RF again? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The mx350 like every other RF universal remote is IR only controlling remote, but uses its own RF frequency to do it from afar.

The only way the mx350 will communicate with the H20 is via IR, so you have to switch the H20 to IR, turning off the native RF on the H20.

If don't know how to switch the H20 back to IR tell me and I'll explain.

Your mx350 never controlled your H20 receiver directly via RF, it sent RF signals to its RF basestation, which in turn sent IR signals to the H20. Now that the H20 set to RF doesn't accept IR commands, your mx350 isn't working, turning the RF off on the H20 with restore the communiaction between the two.

I have the Direct TV box set to IR. My MX-350 will communicate with the H20 but only if I point it at the box. Is there anything else I can do to get the MX-350 to once again work as an RF or am I stuch using it as IR?

Do you own a mrf250 or 300 RF basestation? Or any IR extender like the Radio shack/X10 pyramids? If you don't and never did, then your mx350 NEVER control anything via RF.
