I have a MX 700 and an MX 800 and am switching over to a MAC. Will MX-Editor work on a MAC?

The MX Editors work perfectly under Boot Camp Beta (running XP in my case). But you will have to be careful which USB to DB9 serial adapter you use. The MX Editor software can be finicky about that. After several failed attempts with 3 or 4 other adapters, I finally had success with the Belkin USB serial adapter model # F5U109. I got it at Staples.

Also, be aware that Boot Camp Beta 1.4 (the latest version) is no longer being supported by Apple (they've already removed the download from their web site) because of Boot Camp's inclusion in the new Leopard operating system. Mac OS X Leopard is being released this coming Friday (October 26) and it will include Boot Camp as part of the software (eg, no longer a Beta). Anyone wishing to run Boot Camp after Friday will need to buy Leopard.

Belkin and Keyspan are the only reccomended adapters. Some people say they use Radio Shack ones, personally I've never gotten one to work.

I too use the Belkin one and it has not failed me yet.
