I have a URC-200 and I am setting up a macro. One of the things I need to have happen is to program the macro to turn on the TV's internal mute when I go to DVD or cable. I can use the 200 and do it manually, but when I put into a macro, it does not work. I have to hit menu and then the TV's menu pops up and take if from there. That works manually, but when in the macro the menu never pops up. I have a smasung ln-t4061 if that matters. Please help with this as it will make my wife's life easier and therefore mine.

Thank you,

Michael

What is the exact macro that you are trying to program? If you can get this to me I can normally fix your problem.

Hi J. Todd,

Thanks for your willingness to help, it has been drvining me crazy. I have a set up where my cable is sbefore the box, one goes to the box teh other to the TV. If I watch basic cable without the box it has to be off. If i get a horrible echo from the tv and receiver. So I am trying to create a macro so that when I go to digital cable (box) it turns on the intrnal mute and then when i turn it off the internal mute. I can do all of this manually, but when I program the macro it will not accept the "menu" button while on TV so it does not get to the sound menu to turn internal mute on and off.

Is this what you were looking for? or would you like me to enter the commands as i was doing them on the remote? Just let me know and I will do what i can to help out.

Thanks in advance.

Michael

I when through the urc200 on my tv to try to do a macro to mute the speakers. The macro looked like this( tv-menu, down, down, enter, down , down, down, right, down, enter, menu, menu) It was working fine. I have to ask, why don't you just push the mute button. On most tv's the mute is a toggle button but if you pust the vol+ they un-mute. You can build a macro that will always mute the tv ( vol+, delay.5, mute) you are done with the mute macro.

Hi J.Todd,

I will give it a try, I feel like that is what I did, but hey, I am not the birghtest guy int he world. To answer your other question, if I mute the TV with the toggle, then I have a blue boxed mute banner in the bottom left corner, not too attractive. Thanks for your help and I will keep you posted.
