I know that I'm late to the party but I can't open the complete control suite or get the MX3000 or MX950 to connect. I called URC tech support before buying the laptop and the receptionist told me that all remotes were working with vista so go ahead and buy the laptop (all of tech support was in a meeting). Called back to see what I needed to do the next day and they (URC tech support) told me that there was an unofficial fix and to search the forums on Remote Central. Can anyone help?

The MX-3000 will work. Do a search in the Complete Control Forum on how to do so. (Different forum on this site).

The MX-950, however, will not work.

As far as i know only the MX-950 still doesn't work. Everything else has a work around or just work. Your biggest problem is to liveupdate, Go to control panel. user accounts, select your account and turn off "User Account Control" this will allow you to liveupdate.

For MX-3000 workaround see this link
