Please help. Just got the urc-9910, contacted UEI for a code upgrade for my directv D-10 receiver and Olevia 337 TV. However, I am not able to upgrade the code via phone as instructed by tech support or via wav file. The remote shows ERROR then exist setup mode. Don't really want to go the JP1 route since UEI already have the code. Is this remote defective?

You might do better asking that in the correct forum:

but even in the right forum, the info you gave wouldn't be enough to determine whether your remote is defective, or you're doning the process wrong, or the two speakers you tried (one phone and one PC) don't generate enough magnetic field.

Regarding this forum: Several brands, including OneForAll, use "URC" in the model names of universal remote controls, but this forum is just for the URC brand, not "URC" models of other brands.
