I have an RCA input switcher that you program to switch input based on your devices on codes. It works 'best' (read: only) with RCA devices, so I created a dummy page and assigned 6 random RCA codes from a device I'll never own. I thought the unit to respond to the codes and it works fine.... mostly.

I have to hold the button down for about a full second, maybe 1.5 for the unit to respond. How do I program a macro to do the same? Essentially I need it to prolong the IR output. Feathering doesn't work, and I can only train the switcher to respond to held buttons, not a standard tap.

Any help would be *greatly* appreciated. I'm giddy over having this new remote, and it's all programmed except for this one problem I can't figure out or bo-jangle.

thanks.

When you assign your RCA codes from the IR database using the IR database navigator, increse the number of "Repeats" from the default of "3" to something like "30". That will give you the same effect as holding the button down. If 30's not enough, keep increasing it until it works.

Thanks Surf, but that doesn't seem to be working exactly. It will program the code with one tap, but then for actually controlling it, getting it to switch inputs, it doesn't work.
