I have not been able to get the MX-900 to control the power on/off properly on the Z5 through direct IR or with the RF repeater. I see the IR bug blinking on the front of the projector when I press the button, but no response "most of the time" with the projector. I would say 1 in 25 tries I get a response.

I've tried repositioning the bug, learning the code manually from the Sanyo remote, over and over at that, and no dependable outcome yet.

Has anyone ever used these two together? This install was partially a retro. We used the MRF-300 at the main equipment (denon CI receiver and dvd unit only) and placed the MRF-250 above the projector since there was absolutely no way to get a hardwired IR lead to that unit in this situation.

I'm new to custom IR use and need to learn about creating codes, etc.

Thanks in advance!

It appears we can get the Z5 to respond to the power off, but not the power on. This seems strange to me since it is the same code, just hit twice to turn the unit off. I am wondering if maybe this particular one requires a longer pulse for power on. Is there a way to increase the duration of the IR code on the MX-900, or am I completely off track? Thanks for any input. This is all we lack in getting this project complete.

Is this step supposed to be applicable to IR control too? I called and spoke with Sanyo tech and they swore up and down this only affects the RS-232 control.

We are trying to control this Z5 through IR (and RF relay).

Thanks!

Jeff
