Go to http://www.hometheatermaster.com to get more information on both the MX-1000 and the upcoming MX-500. They have updated their website and have links for providing the MX-1000 software download as well as the manual. At the time of this posting, neither works yet but should be available soon. Also, there's more information and a good clear picture of the upcoming MX-500. Check it out!

Great! I see this forum is going to heat up! Nice to see HTM getting into the new century. Nice website! And a couple of great new products!

Thx for the tip, mroll!

I checked out the site and got:
Welcome to the Web Site of www.urcmx

Maybe the site is down for repairs?

Just checked the site again and it works. Playing around with the software a little, looks pretty easy to use.

Amazing though, in this time of wonderful technology, how easy it is to change "Shipping in December" to "Shipping in January" on the website, in reference to the MX-500.

Thank goodness the MX-1000 did finally make it to the consumer, along with the software, so we do actually have hope that the MX-500 will ship!

Are we certain this IS Universal-Remote ? Why wouldn't they mirror this site onto universal-remote.com?

Who else would it be? I'm pretty certain when it says "Welcome to Universal Remote Control, Inc." on the home page. Why it's not mirrored may be for a number of reasons.

I don't know what it's not mirrored either, but apparantly it is only an interm site.

mroll,

I'm not insinuating that it's not, but nothing surprises me anymore. It could just be a dealer with a clever site. Seriously.

It happens a LOT. There was a website called something like "disneystore.com" and they made it look super corporate. Of course, they sold Disney products. People thought it WAS Disney. (Later they were sued and lost the domain name).

All I'm saying it, nothing surprises me and I don't trust nuttin anymore.

Yes, but how do we know you're the real Daniel Tonks, and that this is the real Remote Central website? Or, for that matter, am I the real mroll?

Okay, that's enough! Could we get back to productive discussion now?
