I have learned that the Universal MX-350 has been upgraded. When entering component codes for setup, the options for that unit will have more useful features to that unit. This really helps especially for AVR and TV's due to the various input options. The new MX-350's will have "MX-350" on the bottom of the remote, not Osiris as before.

This news is of interest to me since I just purchased this remote. It still carries the Osiris name. Can you elaborate more on what the differences are? Once the remote has been programmed, are there any other benefits to having this non-Osiris model?

After you program the 3 digit codes for each Component, the listed discreet settings on each page of that Component are more legit for setting macros as needed. I have been using a MX-700 for programming the MX-350 (Osiris) and came across one of these new "MX-350". More time saving for the new without using MX-700 etc.
This is the only benefit, but a very good one!!

Way to go URC!!

There is an article out on the net (Dated August 13, 2007) in which Universal's Marketing Director discusses that they also doubled the memory for the MX-350. Has anyone confirmed this with the "newer" MX-350 remote?

Yes it has double the memory and it is a narrow band remote now. It says MX-350 on the bottom now. On the box it also says MX-350N.
