For reasons discussed in another thread, I'm currently "knitting" my own MX500 codes using MX500Learn. This gives you two columns for the pulses, the first being what's sent first, and the second being what's sent for the repeat. I have also read the help file regards the format of the data in the MX500, and think I know how the repeat works. Except it doesn't!

For all of my home-made codes, whether I put the signal in the LHS or the RHS, the code gets sent only once. The send indicator on the MX500 does not remain on even if I keep the button pressed. This happens for all buttons.

I have devices with learned codes where the repeat is sent and the indicator does remain on, but I can't see any big difference between what's in those entries and what's in mine.

If I put my pulses into both columns, the device sees two presses, which is what you'd expect. But keeping the button held does *not* cause the repeat side to continue being sent. It's almost as if MX500Learn is putting all the sequence numbers in but not setting the repeat byte.

I'd check in the M5 file but a quick look suggested that it isn't just raw data. I changed and entry using MX500Learn and compared the files, but the changed area had neither the before nor the after.

Help!

Ian
