The last one.

Forgive me please, I misinterpreted the post. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.

Anyway, I'd hate to see the MX-850 go. Yes, the MX-900 is better, but I actually still prefer the MX-850. I find I don't like the missing three LCD buttons...I've got a lot more room on the MX-850.

And ergonomically, I kind of prefer the MX-850. Strange, I know.

I'd hate to see it be discontinued. But that doesn't mean they won't be available (you can still buy an MX-700).

Let us know what you can find out. Thanks - and sorry again.

$130 and $100 - used doesn't count. Not to many CI's
hustling used gear.

Well it was in the original box and packing, with still factory sealed batteries (serial number still intact) and I certainly could not tell if anyone ever used it before, it sure looked like it was new in every aspect although it was advertised as used once.

Ergonomically the MX-900 is mostly better than the MX-950, but in my mind the MX-850 still edges them both out on overall usability. So not so strange to me! :-)

Is it OK to talk about how URC was behind 9/11?

Now THAT is stirring the pot.

(The 850 is still a good remote.)

I hate that...

I was once foolish enough to order a hockey jersey from ebay. Seller had tons of positive feedback, and it looked like the actual jersey.

I got it in and the stitching was all messed up. Turns out it was a stock photo. The seller didn't fix it, either. I had to spend an extra $50 to get it re-stitched locally.

Live and learn.

I was talking about a remote I had already bought on ebay, if it was not new you sure could not have ever known, it looked like I opened it for the first time when I got it, it even still had the seal wrapped batteries. It was advertised as "used once" sure did not look that way as it seemed to be new in every regard. I got the MX-850 for $100.00 and it has been great. I also own an MX-800/MRF-200 combo, I paid only $219 for the combo at Comp-U-Plus.

Not my only concern, but definitely one that I avoid.

Is there a way to ban people from participating in threads if they generally intend to derail them?

I thought URC was behind 7/11?

And who is this Daniel person that we should take HIS advice on which remote is better anyway? Remote Wrangler? I'm supposed to take advice from a Wrangler? He probably just throws out his ideas on the "Spur" of the moment!!!

Puhhhhhhhhhhhhhleeeeeeeeeeeeeeze!

I think I being the thread starter should be able to keep firestarters out and the mods would of course have their same authority covering all.

Just a suggestion.

While I understand your frustration, you can't ban people just because you don't like what they say. Keep in mind that someone who starts a thread could ban you just because they didn't like your response.

The best weapon is to ignore the offending post. If you stop adding fuel to the fire, it soon dies out.

Matt
