Crestron CNAMPX-16X60 - 16 Channel Audiophile Grade Professional Amplifier
16 x 60W @ 8ohms / 16 x 90W @ 4ohms / 220W ch Bridged

$500

Included with the amp is a heavy duty power cord. The owners manual in PDF format will be electronically provided to the purchaser. The unit will be well packaged and insured for shipping. It is highly recommended that this unit be placed on its own separate electrical circuit. At full output an entire 15 amp outlet is required.

This is a huge custom installation amplifier with tremendous build quality. It tips the scales at over 90 lbs and retails for $4000. Extremely powerful with high current capability it can of drive very difficult low impedance loads. It provides audiophile sound quality and industrial grade reliability. It is intended to be used in a Crestron installation system.

This class of amplifier is a dying breed. These are built with very high quality parts and are very expensive to produce hence the weight. These are no longer being produced and are becoming hard to find. The newer models can not compare to the power and sound quality of these units. This amplifier will be sought after and appreciate in value as they become rarer.

With two of the optional bridging modules it becomes 4 x 220W @ 8 ohms + 8 x 60W @ 8 ohms. A very powerful home theater system with additional zones for other rooms or outdoors.

All channels sound wonderful - The amp is 100% functional.

Massive Twin Toroidal Transformers
Monoblock design
Each channel has more than 16,000uF of capacitance
Over 256,000uF total system capacitance
Huge heavy gauge heat sinks
Discreet outputs for each channel
Stable below 4 ohms
Tremendous headroom provides outstanding dynamic power reserves

Specification Sheet

Crestron CNAMPX-16X60

The CNAMPX-16X60 provides 16 channels of world-class audio amplification for the distribution of speaker-level audio to up to 8 stereo room zones as part of a complete Crestron Home® audio distribution system. Brilliantly designed to complement Crestron's PAD8 audio distribution processors, the CNAMPX-16X60 delivers a robust 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms, and 90 watts per channel into 4 ohms. Through the use of the optional CNXBRMO bridging interface, up to eight of the CNAMPX-16X60's sixteen outputs may be bridged to produce 220 watts per channel into 8 ohms.

Its massive twin toroidal power transformers feature MOH cores for maximum efficiency, with bifilar windings directing pure, continuous power to each of the eight stereo amplifier modules. Each module includes its own power supply fed by a separate set of transformer windings, producing astounding dynamic range and very low distortion in every room, all the time.

The highest grade components mounted to multi-layer FR-4 glass epoxy circuit boards help guaranty a long life of trouble free operation. With more than 300 square inches of heat sink surface area per stereo module, cool, quiet, and reliable operation is ensured. Gentle power-up is achieved through a "soft-start" inrush current limiting circuit. Quick-response opto-coupled output protection on each channel prevents failures caused by speaker line faults or signal spikes, providing exceptional dependability with no compromise to sound quality. In the unlikely case of a failure, Crestron's Detachable Modular Component design allows for rapid repair in the field.

The CNAMPX-16X60 combines true audiophile performance with Crestron intelligence, allowing critical control and diagnostic information to be reported to the control system via the Cresnet control network. From the control system, the main amplifier power, as well as each stereo amp channel, can be individually turned on and off. Faults within any amp module or the connected speaker lines are detected and reported to the control system, and amplifier temperature and output levels can be monitored. This valuable diagnostic information can be used by the control system to display a warning message on a touchpanel, reduce audio levels, or even activate an external cooling fan.

Your prices are quite a bit out of line, in my opinion. Just an FYI. Check eBay closing auction prices, you'll be shocked.
