The LanBox-LCX is a powerful and versatile controller. It is equipped with Ethernet, USB, MIDI in and out, DMX in and out, eight analogue inputs and eight digital outputs. All these inputs and outputs can be connected and programmed. For example, you can use analogue faders to directly control programmed DMX cues inside the LanBox-LCX. Or you can use Art-Net data to trigger cues that will start up to eight RS-232 controlled devices like the iPad. Or you can use the DMX input to send MIDI messages. Or everything at the same time of course. This is all done extremely reliable due to industrial grade hardware and firmware, and once programmed, it is done autonomously, without the use of a computer.

LanBox-LCX Features
The LanBox-LCX has a DMX in- and output. (A, see picture below). The DMX output has an output patcher and different curves and slopes can be assigned per channel. The output patcher connects the 512 DMX channels to the 3072 internal mixer channels. Also, all data received from for example the DMX input can be assigned to any one of the 3072 mixer channels. Using the abundant amount of internal channels, it is possible to use extensive programming. The MIDI ports (B) can both send and receive any type of Controller, Note and SysEx message where all these messages can be assigned to individual mixer channels and cues.

Also MIDI Time Code (MTC), SysEx and Midi Show Messages (MSX) can be used. The Ethernet port (C) can be used for both sending and receiving of data via UDP and Art-Net. Also this port can be used to fully control and program the LanBox via TCP (for example using Crestron of Max/MSP).

At the back side of the LanBox there are eight analogue inputs and eight digital outputs. Each input has an 10 bit (1024 steps) resolution. The inputs are mapped to the internal mixer channels, but these can also be used to -for example- control cue properties like transparancy or speed or trigger a cues based on the input value.

The digital outputs are also multipurpose.Every output can be used arbitrarily as a switch or as a RS-232 output. Each output can directly provide 20mA of current, but using the many +6VDC outputs also at the back of the LanBox the full power of the adapter (1000mA) can be used. One or more of the outputs can also be used to send RS-232 messages. Using this feature it is possible to control equipment like iPods, projectors and media players.
