I was always in the "would be nice to have, I don't really need it" category with a Pronto/RC5000. Now after downloading the Edit software and seeing my friend's CCF file, it's a "I MUST have this NOW".
Only problem, I could never get the wife to go for a cash outlay on this, even if it totally simplifies running the system for her.

Anyway, since the TS1000 seems to be coming down in price with the TS2000 out and the Color Pronto on the horizon, I figured someone here would be planning on doing an upgrade and might want to work a non or low-cash deal for their TS1000.

I have a $50 giftcard to Borders Books on the way, a sealed copy of Mi2 on the way, and could find a number of CDs in my collection I could trade. I could probably come up with one more open/mint DVD out of my collection. Please note that if I can't work something out on the sooner side, the gift card will get used up, I just hate to sit on something like that when there are a lot of DVDs I want.

I also have some decent Grateful Dead boots that I have copied on to HiFi VHS tapes that I would be willing to part with, and, perish the thought, any of my VHS movies that anyone would want.

Please don't laugh at my idea here. I really want a TS1000 BADLY and want to try and find a way to do it.

JLB,

My suggestion is to try and get a TS1000 from e-bay. That is where I got mine half way decently cheap. Of course I am not married and do not have to ask permission on anything I want to buy! Therefore save your trade idea and just do a search on e-bay. You can probably find a TS1000 for under $200.00. If your wife will still not let you do the 200 bucks, maybe put 25 bucks away for 2 months...presto...TS1000.

Or maybe just don't ask your wife and make a COMMAND decision and buy one. She'll get over it!

Hope this helps!

Number 1] If you can't save up $300 you should SPEND $300.

Number 2] You're offering bidly cr@p for a few hundred dollars in trade. Don't hold your breath for an offer.

Number 3] If you still think you need this remote now, refer to numbers 1 and 2.

Grow up, get real, you offered essentially $50 worth of stuff. I doubt you could get a broken TS1000 for that.
