ProControl Remote PRO24.z for sale. $225 plus shipping. I'm no longer carrying this line so I'd like to get rid of our demo model. It has only been used to fire up and show the demo programming to customers. Never programmed or used other than to show customers. Paypal or credit cards direct.

Do you think you are jumping the gun a little? I know you found the product online, but RTI may still get them to remove it. Have you contacted them to ask about it?

I don't really care enough to sit and check where all of my products are being sold online and for how much.
This was brought to my attention by a potential customer. I have a multitude of remote control options to sell. Too many to be honest. They're on a short leash. I don't need them.

You are certainly entitled to carry what you wish. I just think it is being a bit hasty to jump ship so quickly. It has already been stated that RTI did not authorize the sale online and they will be going after them to remove the product from their sites. I think if you are going to dump all product available online, you will end up with very little to carry.

My issue is that it is being sold online for less than my cost. That's my problem. I'm having to buy from a middle man, but so is PCNation. Somewhere, ProControl is selling remotes to some random company way cheaper than I can buy it.
Crestron has 1 price point. They give rebates based on sales, which is fine. But they have 1 price point. I'm not purchasing ProControl for more points than some other company is paying for it. I'm just not. I understand that ProControls probably doesnt care either. They'll be losing around 2 remote sales per month from me. Not a big deal for them, or me either for that matter. Just one less remote for a customer to choose from.

I still don't get our reasoning. As was proven in the other thread you started about the sites carrying the product, the remotes are coming from a distributor, not directly from RTI. You are blaming the wrong company for the product showing up online. RTI's rep says they are working on getting the product removed from their site. So why are you mad at RTI? If anything you should be pissed at Avad who it looks like provided at least one of those sites with the product. OF course that is assuming they have done so also. The website could possibly be posting product in an attempt to get you to call and switch you to some other product. It's been done before. Ernie said he called and they show none in stock. This could lend to that possibility. Either way, you can do what you wish, as I said, it is your company. I just seems you are getting all worked up over nothing.

I have confirmed with upper management at ProControl that there are NO online resellers of their products. The products are sold through distribution to integrators only. As part of RTI they are monitoring all online postings, purchasing product and tracing back to original purchaser when they find a site that actually has product. As stated before, just because something is posted online, that does not mean, 1. that it is sanctioned and 2. that it actually is available.

I had let it go, I don't care one way or another anymore as I no longer sell ProControl. But since you brought it back up, yet another large internet store selling it and showing it as in-stock, same day shipping: [Link: ecost.com]

Online sales of used rti equipment is fine. Ive done so myself and even listed used equipment through the rti dealer portals and rti has never complained. Hes selling used equipment and not offering up the software. Thats fine

He is referring to the fact the OP is pissed that he found Pro Control for sale at random sites.

Mike at PRO told me that they found the source that was “auto-feeding the sites” when the line was introduced. The products were "electronically posted by a third-party merchant without any prior review by the sites themselves"- they simply post the feed and when PRO won’t sell them the product, they pull it from the site. These sites won’t continue to waste the space if they can’t fill the order. He also said the websites were identified, and are working to list the goods as "unavailable for sale", or "The page you requested no longer exists" until they eventually drop off the site. They do seem to be dropping off the internet so I believe that PRO is working to put an end to it.
