Is it Escient compatible?
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

It is not. However, it looks up it's own meta data and cover art via Gracenote and while the interface is not as good as Escient, it works. RS-232 control allows you to select by disc number and it offers two way communication to control systems equipped to do so.

Did you ever try using one with the Escient? I know that Escient was saying that the Sony BD changer would be able to be added to an Escient when it came out. But of course that was before Escient went belly up. I doubt that they changed the rs232 commands for it.

Honestly I would rather not take it out of the box which is sealed and unopened. A simple email to [email protected] will tell you if the changer works, which I understand does not. Escient still offers a certain level of support. Thanks!
