If somebody has the TouchSmart LCD screen remote for a Pioneer VSX-39TX that they would like to sell/rent for not a lot of money I would be interested. I have a receiver that I am unable to run the initial device setup on because it doesn't have the factory remote.

I'm a verified PayPal premier member and have 100% on eBay with 89 transactions.

Yeah...that's what I'm trying to avoid. I thought there might be somebody around that had a VSX-39TX that was fried or something that the remote was still good. I'm not going to pay anywhere close to $400 for a remote. I'll throw away the receiver before I do that.

Thank you both for your help. I managed to snag a remote for a VSX-29TX mfor pretty cheap last night. It's a different model number than the 39TX's remote, but the IR codes should be the same. HOPEFULLY this fixes it.

Got one sitting on my deck right now. It's a customers remote. I don't think he will sell. But I can steel you some codes if you need any. I can send them in hex or .pal (Xantech) PM if you need any codes.

I am sure you will not be able to set the following: Channel Delay, Channel level, And Speaker settings(Large or small speakers/2,3,4,5,6,7,7.1 ch) X-Over. The reason I say this is because all these setting are done in the remote, then sent in one IR sequence to the receiver. Since there are about a hundred different settings, I can't learn them all. I have learned all the other buttons, so if you tell me your setup (5.1?, 80 hz, speaker distance, speaker size I could give them a go and send you them.) I have the remote for only one more week.
