Friend of mine is taking down his Sony KDE50xbr950 that has 50 foot custom cabling running in the ceiling to the Media Receiver. He is going to put the plasma in another room where he only needs 6-10 feet of cable. He does not have the original cable-
He is replacing the Sony with a new Samsung 8000. Any chance the old media cable can be converted for HDMI use or Component?
Anyone know where to get a replacement cable?

Unfortunately the cable I got from someone on here turned out to be the wrong one-- one of the 2 connectors didn't match my friend's TV-- there must have been some changes in the proprietary connect over the years.
So I'm back to square one, except now the TV is actually mounted and hanging on the wall pretty as a picture-- in fact just like a picture becasue I can't turn it on!
Anyone have one of these cables lying around??

Why don't you give the folks @ Crutchfield a call?
They did sell this model - thier customer support/knowledge is very good.
