For sale: I am selling off a Niveus Media Systems Rainer 500 with integrated blue-ray and external dual cable card tuner. Was purchased in early spring 2007. Finally hooked up three months ago. I have all original packaging. Everything is in perfect condition.

Here are the general specs:
Core 2 Duo 2.2
NVIDIA Ge Force 8500 GT Video Card
IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
500 GB hard Drive. I left some movies on the drive the are in Niveus/persistent storage

Here is a link to pictures

Any DVD is already installed with the lifetime update. As is the Niveus Movie Library.
This is a very cool system. However it is not the direction I would like to go. If there is interest I will gladly post more information.

I am dropping my price to $3500.

Thanks,
Jay

What did you not like about it that is causing you to want to get rid of it?
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

I purchased this to see if it would be something we would sell to a client. I think the system is great. However, I am not interested in servicing the system after the sale. For someone who is into the Windows Media System platform this is a fantastic piece. It is just not the direction i want to take with my business. I don't have the staff to keep a bunch of these systems running smoothly.

With that said. I need to make room for the systems I am actively selling.

Your reason for selling makes sense. They can require a ton of service and support after the fact. What is your asking price?

I think it is a very cool system. It just needs to go to the right person.

Hey Jay do you have layaway? haha I'd love to get this but you know with our economy I'm hurting. I could even trade install labor or remote programming. haha
