OK I have to ask.....and I don't expect you to give away any secrets here...but how can you possibly have a tried and true testing process for this? How can you program the remote optimally as far as performance and intuitiveness goes, without being able to be physically present to determine unpublished things like power on delays?

Do you give your customers access to URC software in the event you need to make a change and they need to download?

To me Ebay is good or bad, a sacrifice. Something get's sacrificed when you buy something at a steep discount. Maybe it's support, maybe it's craftmenship, maybe it's some type of risk in buying the service. Either way, if I spent thousands of dollars on my system and wanted a good control system, I'm sorry but Ebay would not be a place I would seek to acquire such as service.

Baseball cards, yes. That missing piece for that car your restoring, fine. As a place to find someone to provide you with the quality job for your elaborate home theater - hell no. I don't care if Ebay is here to stay or not - there is undoubtedely a certain level of sleaze there and I would never, ever sell a client a pieice of hardware and tell him to go find a deal on Ebay to support it.
