Hi All
I have been in touch with an Australian supplier of Phillips prontos but will leave their name out of this post so I dont cause any problems.

I was critical of their prices compared to those available in the US and was told that:

- I should not purchase overseas as the radio frequencies used are the same as the army uses
- The pronto could be confiscated by customs
- No warranty provided

Is there any truth in this?
Has anyone ever had a pronto taken by customs?

Seems like they are trying to pull my leg so thought it best to ask.
