Hi Guys,

I would like to buy a used RadioShack 15-1994 Universal Remote Control in good working order (no damage) if anyone is prepared to give up theirs.

I am prepared to pay US$40 for the remote (which includes Shipping to Tasmania Australia). I would prefer to pay via PayPal if possible (easiest way). Anytakers reply here and/or email me.

Taa very much!

Harvey

I think shipping might end up costing $20-30 for a 2 lb box.

Hi BlueDo (The infamous Randy?)

Around US$20 is what my two MX-1000 cost to get shipped from the USA to Australia (2 separate parcels) and they are a bit heavier than an RS 15-1994.

I don't think the $40 (inc. post) is unreasonable as the RS 15-1994 used to sell new for between $19.95-$29.95 so a second hand one should be around $18-$20 dollars (my way of thinking anyway) which would then allow shipping costs to also be covered. But I am willing to hear other peoples opinions on the matter.

I agree, your price is fair! Your price means $20 for a remote that cost only $30. Sounds good to me!

Except that the 15-1994 has been discontinued and is now a highly sought after item, so I doubt that anyone how has one is going to be that keen to let it go. I know that when they announced that it was being discontinued I ran out and bought the last few from my local store at $30 a pop, just so that I would have replacements if my current one ever breaks.

Hi Rob,

I am starting to agree with you about the rarity of these remotes! You wouldn't want to part with one of yours would you? (I know I have more chance of winning the Lottery, but thought I would ask anyway!) I might just have to hand over the US$40 shipping that Radio Shack are asking for a new RS 15-2104!

They're $15 a pop now, if you can find them!

Hey Harvey,
Sorry, I don't want to part with any of mine. With the JP1 interface there's absolutely nothing that this remote cannot do, so I'm never going to need another remote ever, but they will eventually wear out, which is why I got the spares.

Now on the other hand, if you were looking for a Producer 8 or Cinema 7, I've got quite a few spares of those that I would be willing to part with.

I could sell you them for $5 each, including shipping, IF I had any! ;-)
