The remote is in fair condition. It has one scratch on the left side (no idea how it got there). Also, the CH+, CH1, VOL+ and VOL- buttons all have a little "nibble" out of each of them. Believe it or not, I think a mouse did this! This does not detract from teh fuctionality of the remote. Aside from the physical imperfections, the remote and base are in PERFECT working condition! I have used it faithfully for 3 years and have never had a single problem (no blank screens, no loss of power...nothing). I have opted to go with an HTM MX-500 (just got tired of lookign at a touchscreen.
