Try this. Delete the code in the EPG page. Reset the Ipronto. Make sure the code is not there. Put in the new code and try to connect. I have changed my line up several times and had no problems over the years.

Hello, i have now a used ipronto. I have problems with the EPG. In the EPG there are the data for Februar 2007. When i try to update the EPG it told me the subscription is expired. I make a new account on the website. I get an activation key. If i try to activate it, i get the message the subscription has expired. On my account is everything ok. The account is activate and have an expiration date of February 2012.
I unsubscribe than and make a new account, and i could activate it, but if i try to download the EPG data. I get the message subscription expired. On the website it tells me everything ok and the expiration date is February 2012.
What should i do. Where delete i the old EPG data´s. Sorry for my english, but i am from germany. May you tell me what i ahve do wrong or what should i do to get the EPG to run.

Thank you

Werner

Try resetting the remote and then re-enter the code. Make sure the time on your IPRonto is correct too.

Thanks Grimmace, but that didnt work. I think the subscription has expired, because i bought the ipronto used. The old subscription are from February 2004 to February 2007. I have renewed and make it new, make a new account and that didntr work. On the EPG Site my account is active. Maybe the 3 years are over and so i get no new subscription for the ipronto. Or did i have to pay for it to get a new one. But where can i get an account that works.

Thanks
Werner

You do not have to pay. Double check the code you are putting in to the IPronto for your new account. Then turn the IPronto on then off. Check the code again. Did it change? If not go to the EPG and then force an update. If the code reverts, put in the new code then immediately force an update. Once a forced update works, you should be okay after that. Also, try putting in your new EPG code and saving the file to a SD or computer and then load the file again and try.

Seems i am to stupid for that. On the website for the EPG my subscription is active. The Ipronto tells me if i use the activation key from the website that the subscription is active. When i try to update the EPG than the message is, that my subscription is expired and i should renew it. May i asked which file you mean, that i should save. Where is the file. Sorry for my stupid question.

Save the entire IPronto file with the new code it to either your computer of the SD card in the IPronto.

Yes, once you put in the new code, save the ICF file.

I think I have figured the problem out. I just switched from Comcast Cable to Verizon FIOS. So, I created a new subscription. I deleted the old one, and then went to activate the new FIOS one. It immediately said the subscription was expired. I went back to the EPG website. Once there under the personalize page I selected RENEW. This brought me to an user agreement page where Philips basically says the EPG service can go away at any time. Once I agreed, my subscription went to active for 3 years and I got a new key. I put the new key in the IPronto and the EPG downloaded fine. New subscriptions apparently mean acknowledging a new user agreement which gets you to a new free 3 year EPG activation and new key for your IPronto. Hope this works for everyone.

Thanks Grimmace, i try it like you described it. But it didnt work. I got the message subscription expired. On the Ipronto under available EPG information is November 2007. That didnt change, because there is no update possible. I think the old EPG information is the problem.
I am not able to delete this information. So i think every time the EPG try to update it get the old information and say subscription is expired. May these old information are on the EPG internet site stored for this Ipronto with the ID that the ipronto have and i am not able to delete them. Thats what i think. So i think if philips didnt delete these data i didnt could update the EPG. I have written an e-mail to philips but i didnt get an answer.

Two dumb things to double check, are getting the new activation key and putting it in to the IPronto activation page, and secondly, it the time and date correct on your IPronto? Just a quick double check. May be it is something different between the US and Europe side of the EPG? Mine Renewed fine. I'll see if I missed any steps to give you.

Hi Grimmace, yes the time and date is right in the ipronto. I am not able to activate with the activation key from the renewed account. I could activate a new subscrition account, but if i try to update EPG the msg subscription expired. I wrote a new email to the philips customer servie. May they answer, if not i think i have no idea to solve the problem.

Did you get the email confirmation of your new activation and/or subscription? Try going to activation number from the link in the email.
