My iPronto boots up, loads the configuration file and as soon as I touch the touchscreen it makes a click and freezes. All the hard buttons work, it powers on and off. After it freezes either I reset it and it goes thru the same cycle and freezes. Alternatively I power it off and on and again as I touch the screen it clicks and is dead.
Please can anyone help with either a do it yourself solution or provide me a referrel to a repair shop somewhere in the NY metropolitan area (tri-state).
Thanks

Well, can you access the iPronto with iPronto Edit? I mean, can you access it from you PC to change the *.icf file? If this is possible I would suggest to change this config file and replace it with a simple or older one.
If the iPronto still freezes then you have a real problem :-( Which means: Send it to a dealer / Philips.

Kalle

Have you tried disconnecting the power and battery for a half or full day?

Also have you tried forcing a firmware update (should fix corruption).
