Bought a used ipronto and it is not letting me disable the blue tools bar? How can I update the firmware if the ipronto update site is down?

Also, how can I get the ipronto apart to change out it's touchscreen?

Anyone?

Mmhh, no idea if the iPronto website is down?

There is a technical manual for the iPronto which shows you how to take that damn piece apart but I am not sure if it is "freeware" to upload it to the file area?!

Does anybody know?

Many people asked for it in the past .......

Best regards,

Kalle

SirKalle, Why would you bother to post a reply if you do not know the answers to my questions?!?!?!

Does anyone know where I can get the last firmware update since philips no longer hosts it?

Does anyone know the best way to open the remote and replace the touchscreen?

Thanks.

Micah

DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE NETX WIFI AND THE SBCLI100 CONVERTER RF. MY EQUIPMENT IS IN THE BOTTOM OF MY CUPBOARD AND I HAVE A MINI CONTROLLER MARMITEK IR-RF7243U AND WANT TO BE ABL TO CONTROL MY IPRONTO WITHOUT USING LINE OF SIGHT. SO WHICH IS BEST OPTION TO BUY.
I HAVE X10 MODULE AND AIARM ALL OF THEM ARE MARMITEK WHICH I CONTROL USING MY IPRONTO AND MINI CONTROLLER I HAVE NOTICED I HAVE TO USE BOUBLE COMAND IE
LINK TO JUST CONTROL X10-2
LINK TO IR JUST CONTROL X10-2
DELAY 1.0 SEC
LINK TO IR JUST CONTROL X10-OF
LINK TO JUST CONTROL X10-OF
SURELY THERE IS A EASIER WAY OF DOING IT. BEARING IN MIND IT DOES WORK BUT IT SEEM'S TO TAKE A LONG TIME.

THANK YOU

Does anyone understand the point of these threads? If a quesitons is asked, normally you would reply if you know the answer? If you have a differnt subject, start a new thread!

Does anyone know how to get the latest firmware for the iPronto???

I just tried to upgrade mine by using the network menu's and pressing 'upgrade'.

It half loaded initially, up to partition 3, then failed initially claiming it could not find the firmware, so I rebooted.
It then claimed the firmware was corrupt and would need to be reloaded, luckily it immediately went to partition 3, downloaded and everything worked on.

I can not understand why this product failed, it's easier than AMX/CRESTRON etc and is relatively easy to set up. I suppose £1000+ could be a reason....

So your ipronto could find the firmware downlaod? Because it was my understanding that philips was not hosting the file anymore? Since they discontinued the support? I guess I will give it another try. Maybe that have it back online now...
