I am severel disappointed there is not a conversion for the iPronto ICF files for the new Pronto 9600. Seems to be a bad move forcing us to rework our whole system.

The 9600 is quite a different product. You have to rework all the graphics. If the reliability claims of the database IR codes are true, you will probably want to use them too. THe 9600 and 6400 screen size is different. The hard buttons are different. I don't see much benefit in trying to convert an existing icf file. The ProntoNG owners are finding little benefit to conversion even though the 9600 editor will convert an NG ccf or pcf file.

BTW, I've already seen the 9600 advertised at $999, $300 off the MSRP, and this is only the first week the product has been released. I think we will see lower prices in the near future.

I just received mine yesterday. I agree that converting our old files would be useless. I tried importing some old pcf's that I had and it just looked horrible. I'm hoping that this product will be what we were hoping the ipronto would be. One really nice feature is the quick IR learning feature for programming in commands from existing remotes. To be continued......
