Does anyone know of a good remote controled heat/AC climate control unit to replace the existing that can be controlled by the iPronto?
If so, does it require the NetX to go IR or can my IR to RF X10 lighting controler take care of this?
PS: I am familure with the X10 heat sensor that drives up the heat behind the unit when activated in order to turn up the AC thinking the room is hotter then it is. I would like something smarter/better then that!

Go to [Link: smarthome.com]. You'll find a bunch of remote-controllable thermostats. Remember that iPronto is IR based. That means that your thermostat has to have an IR receiver or accept RF or powerline commands that can be initiated by an IR signal. If you want to use an X10-controlled thermostat, you'll need an ir543 device that converts iPronto IR to X10. The chances of your finding an RF-controlled thermostat compatible with NetX are pretty slim in the US. If you are in Europe you might have better luck, because the RF control frequencies used in Europe are often compatible with European components.

Thanks for the input.
I have already seen all the Smart Home items, but was looking to find feedback from someone that has already set one up with the iPronto.
I do have the X10 IR to Powerline converter which can take the IR commands from the iPronto and send them to the X10 Tranceiver to possibly communicate with the thermostat.
SmartHome is 2 blocks away from me, so I may just head over there and see what ideas they have.
I will update the forum on what I find out.
Thanks.
