I have a iPronto TSi6400 that just has never worked right from day 1 October 16, 2004. It always locks up on restart and usually I can hit the reset button and all is fine.

Now all I get is the blue welcome screen with the words at the top left saying,

"iPronto is starting up and cleaning system resources. This may take a few minutes..."

HELP, I have tried everything I know of from the reset button, taking the battery out, hitting the rest button and the channel+ button, doing a flag update (everything is current the iPronto says. After the flagged update it goes to the welcome screen and back the the cleaning system resources saying.

Anhyone have an idea?

thanks, Mike

Have you contacted Philips? Even though they no longer support the iPronto, I've found that they will answer some questions. Email [email protected]. Maybe someone will answer.

I should add to my prior post.

If you contact Pronto Team, you need to be very specific and clear in your problem description. If you are at all ambiuous, your cahnces of getting an answer aren't very good.

Try unplugging and re plugging in the wireless card. I had exactly the same problem a while back after the unit was dropped, and this fixed it

Good luck!

It happened to me today, and after reading your post and others, I reset iPronto while while holding down the scroll wheel on the left. After several tries, it worked. Make sure that you have set your network ip address and DNS correctly. Otherwise you may continue to have the same problem
