Does anyone know what commands to use to select a specific disc in the sony 400 disc dvd changer? I have the original remote and it seems all I can do to select a disc is walk up to it amd rotate the dial on the unit its self?

I have ALL the buttons learned into my pronto and want to make images of each movie send the disc location and start playing in the changer when pressed, I know I just link the image to send number commands but by using the remote to for example select disc 145, I press those numbers 1,4,5 and it tries to go to that chapter, not disc location?

Am I missing somthing?

Thanks!

Micah

Go on over to the ProntoNG forum and files sections and look for posts and pcf files from "LOWPRO." He has done what you want to do in spades.

You will need to download the ProntoNG editor (which you can get off Remote Central or from the Philips Pronto website) so that you can read a pcf file. Note that codes in pcf and icf files are identical, so you could copy Lowpro's IR codes into your icf if you need them.

Thanks. Instead of going through all that and installing the other program I was able to find the thread discussion in the NG forum that covered my question.

If any one comes across this thread the answer was simply:

DVD player/changer macro configured to hit: stop, display, enter, disk #'s (Example 1,5,9), enter, display again, play.

Thanks for the right direction!

i have the same dvd player and i have pics of all my movies right on the remote as buttons, and when i want to watch a movie i just push the picture. oh yea it took my forever to put the pics of the dvds in there, u have to find them (netflix) then you have to resize them then you have to make the pressed state button and then yuo have to macros all the other shit in, forever!!! and u have to change the color also or they wont all fit, i just made the pressed state buttons alot lower resolution

You need to use a graphics program that offers resizing capabilities for bmp and/or png files. Among ohters, any version of Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro will do the job. If you have lots of pictures to resize (DVD jackets for example), you can set up a macro that will batch process all your files with a single command.
