If you use winzip to uncompress the .ICF files of a pronto, so one can see the graphics and xml programming, how can one find a hex file of the remote code?

I need a Sony remote code that is only listed in one of the Sony TV options. Unfortunately, it is not in the option where the other items work with my tv.

If I set the remote to that code, and save the IR Command, then try to move it, it becomes non-functional when I revert back to the correct sony codeset?

Thus, I need to be able to identify the hex code for the item somehow to enter it manually.

Pretty sure that you cannot use multiple preprogrammed code sets under a single device. If you have any other remote that could learn a signal you could transfer that code to it, then teach it back.
