Hi just in the process of migrating from ProntoNG Rc950 in the UK ( TSU700 US) to the iPronto.
I think I know the answer to this already but is there anyway to get the iPronto to generate RF at 433hz??
I have a mixture to IR and RF (433Hz) controlled X10 modules which the ProntoNG can control via either IR or RF

Nope. iPronto doesn't do RF, only IR I'm afraid.

I also use Marmitek/X-10 because EIB is too expensive.
The iPronto only has a 802.11b PCMCIA card for wireless communication to the access point.
Out of the box the iPronto can only transmit/receive IR but it's easy to add RF capabilities. There are small transmitters available that can be run in parallel to the IR output. The same modification is being used to extend Prontos without RF capabilities.
You will need a RF to IR converter for the iPronto to learn X-10 codes or you do it by additional software.

I use the Philips Netx with my iPronto to Control X-10. iPronto sends Codes to NetX which converts them to IR. I feed IR to an IR 543 which converts IR to X-10. It works GREAT. FYI Info on IR-543 [Link: smarthome.com]
